This deal, Mt. Fuji Round Trip Ticket was on sale in 2013 and 2014 during summer season only. Now this deal has just been back in 2015 season. If you have a plan to Mt. Fuji and other place, like Nikko or Kusatsu, Kanto Area Pass is better choice. But if you need a deal for trip to Mt. Fuji only, this pass is most suitable.
I show you the the detail about this pass and compare with other deals.
Price, sales period and validity
The price is same as 2014, 5600 yen and child rate is half, 2800 yen for 6 to 11 years old. Kid under 5 years old is free if you are okay to share the seat.
The ticket must be used in two consecutive days. And this ticket will be on sale from July 1 to November 29, 2015 and can be used until November 30.
This deal includes Tokyo – Otsuki round trip fare and limited express reserved seat surcharge. And unlimited travel is included in Otsuki – Kawaguchiko by Fuji Kyuko line and Mt. Fuji climbing bus to Mt. Fuji 5th station. Kanto Area Pass covers Fuji Kyuko line between Otsuki and Kawaguchiko. But any other JR deals do not include Mt. Fuji climbing bus. This is one of the biggest asset of this deal.
You will get other details of this deal at JR East official site.
Compare with regular fare
If you have round trip between Shinjuku and Otsuki by JR limited express reserved seat during peak season (most of July and August), total cost is 5940 yen. So the deal is already cheaper than regular round trip fare to Otsuki. And you can take unlimited ride of Fuji Kyuko line and bus to 5th station. This gives you a great deal.
But if you intend to visit Lake Kawaguchi area only and do not visit 5th station, highway bus is better. One way fare to Kawaguchiko from Shinjuku is 1700 yen.
http://transportation.fujikyu.co.jp/english/gettinghere/01.html
You can get some more information about trip to Fuji at the link below:
Fuji Hakone access guide by train and bus from both Tokyo and Osaka / Kyoto / Nagoya.
Compare with Kanto Area Pass
Kanto Area Pass covers not only Mt. Fuji but also Nikko, Kusatsu, Izu and many other spots surrounding Tokyo and valid 3 days. So if you intend to visit Fuji and other areas, like Nikko, Kanto Area Pass is obviously better deal. But some of you are not sure where you will go at this point. So I show you the difference between Mt. Fuji Round Trip Ticket and Kanto Area Pass for your planning.
Pass | Mt. Fuji Round Trip Ticket | Kanto Area Pass |
Price | 5600 yen | 8300 yen |
Validity | 2 days | 3 days |
JR limited express surcharge reserved seat | included | included |
Fuji Kyuko line local train | included | included |
Fuji Kyuko Fujisan Limited Express | non reserved seat included | not included |
Fuji Kyuko Fuji Tozan Densha | add 200 yen | add 200 yen |
Bus to 5th station | included | not included |
By the way, the regular round trip fare of Fuji climbing bus to 5th station is 2100 yen. If you use Kanto Area Pass and want to go to 5th station, you have to add 2100 yen on top of the pass. So total cast will be more than 10000 yen.
If you will hang around Lake Kawaguchi only, Kanto Area Pass may be better because you can go other place by this pass. And if you complete trip to Fuji in one day, you have two more day trip by Kanto Area Pass.
So look at your trip plan and make sure where you want to go.
Narita Express direct service from Narita airport to Lake Kawaguchi
In this summer season, one round trip of Narita Express run to Lake Kawaguchi station directly in weekend and holidays.
Narita Express #8 from Narita to Kawaguchiko
Narita Airport 9:15 – Kuko Daini (terminal 2) 9:19 – Tokyo 10:21 – Shinjuku 10:47 – Otsuki 11:55 – Fujisan 12:35 – Kawaguchiko 12:41
Narita Express #41 from Kawaguchiko to Narita
Kawaguchiko 14:14 – Fujisan 14:22 – Otsuki 15:08 – Shinjuku 16:10 – Tokyo 16:33 – Kuko Daini (terminal 2) 17:25 – Narita Airport 17:29
Mt. Fuji Round Trip Ticket does not include the trip from Narita airport to Tokyo. You need to add single fare or N’ex Tokyo Round Trip Ticket. It is only direct train service from Narita airport to Kawaguchiko.
Comments
Hi all,
How about from Tokyo to both Fujisan & Hakone?
Start the ascent up Mt. Fuji via the Fuji Subaru Line. Climb 2,300 meters (7,546 ft) above sea level for breathtaking views from above the clouds.
Go for a sightseeing cruise on Lake Ashi, from Kojiri to Hakone-en. This crater lake along the southwest wall of the caldera of Mt. Hakone was formed by a powerful volcanic eruption nearly 3,000 years ago, and provides postcard views of Mt. Fuji towering 30 km northwest.
And go to Mt. Komagatake Ropeway.
For above 1 day trip, estimate how much totally including transport?
Thanks!
Hi Chang,
You may use Fuji Hakone Pass.
http://www.odakyu.jp/english/deels/freepass/fujihakone/
You have to add the fare to 5th station on Fuji Subaru line because it’s not covered by this pass. But Fuji Hakone Pass is only deal to cover Hakone and Fuji.
http://www.fujiyama-navi.jp/static/fujitozan/img/pdf_en/yoshida_trail.pdf
And also Komagatake ropeway is not covered by this pass either.
Cheers,
Takeshi / JPRail.com
Thank you Takeshi-san!
No problem, Chang.

Takeshi / JPRail.com
Hi,
I’ll planning my honeymoon to Japan and hope you can help me with this query. I’m planning to do a Shinjuku-Hakone-Kawaguichiko-Gotemba-Shinjuku segment like this:
Day 1: Shinjuku to Hakone (overnight at Kawaguichiko)
Day 2: Kawaguichiko to 5th Station and Yamanakako (overnight at Kawaguichiko)
Day 3: Kawaguichiko to Gotemba Premium Outlet, then back to Shinjuku
Would you recommend that I purchase the Fuji Hakone Free Pass or the Hakone Free Pass?
If I travel from Shinjuku to Hakone by Romancecar, I’ll have to pay a surcharge of ¥890.
I wanted to also ask if I have to pay any surcharge if I take these buses:
1. Kawaguichiko Sightseeing bus, Red Line
2. Fujikko bus from Fujisan Station to Mt Fuji Yamanakako (Hotel Mt Fuji Iriguchi)
3. Fuji-Goko bus or Fujikyoko bus from Mt Fuji Yamanakako to Kawaguichiko
4. Bus from Kawaguichiko to Gotemba Premium Outlet (not sure which bus to take)
5. Odakyu Hakone Highway Bus from Gotemba Premium Outlet to Shinjuku
Your suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks!
Hi Sher,
Fuji Hakone Psss is the best choice but you will pay additional as you need.
1. Not covered
2. Not covered
3. Lake Kawaguchi – Gotemba bus stops at Lake Yamanaka and this bus is covered.
4. You can get outlet by Fuji Hakone pass. But you need to transfer bus at Gotemba.
5. Not covered. Only Odakyu and bus between Lake Kawaguchi and Shinjuku are covered.
You can find more info at the official site.
http://www.odakyu.jp/english/deels/freepass/fujihakone/
Cheers,
Takeshi / JPRail.com
Thank you for your kind reply, Takeshi. I’ve literally combed the Fujikyu Bus website as well as the Fuji Hakone Freepass website but there’s some information that I can’t find.
3. Are you referring to this Gotemba bus that is covered by the freepass? http://bus-en.fujikyu.co.jp/highway/detail/id/5/#routemap
4. Is this the bus to take to Gotemba from Kawaguchiko? I notice that there is a stop at Gotemba Premium Outlet too. Can I stop there with my Fuji Hakone Freepass? http://bus.fujikyu.co.jp/pdf/rosen/fujigoko/detail_id6_timetable.pdf
Thanks, again!
Hi Sher,
3. This is not covered. You have to leave either Odawara side or Lake Kawaguchi side. You cannot get out from Gotemba.
4. Yes, you can.
Cheers,
Takeshi / JPRail.com
Hi Takeshi
I and my family will be visiting Japan in October and interested to purchase Mount Fuji round trip ticket. We noted that the validity is 2 consecutive days. We need a confirmation that the Round trip travel between the Tokyo metropolitan area and Otsuki Station must be done within 48 hours or 2 days? thank you.
Best Regards,
Marsha
Hi Marsha,
The ticket is valid for midnight to midnight.
ex) Start using ticket at 13:00 on Sep 16, it’s expired at 23:59 on Sep 17
Cheers,
Takeshi / JPRail.com
Hi Takeshi, Thank you for the info!!
Dear Takeshi,
Thank you so much for your very helpful website! It has become my go-to guide in planning for the upcoming japan trip.
I am thinking of doing this itinerary:
30 Oct: Land in Narita airport, Narita- Shinjuku (hotel in shinjuku)
30 Oct to 3 Nov: Tokyo
3 Nov to 4 Nov: Lake Kawaguchi or Hakone (1 night)
4 Nov- 8 Nov: Kyoto (side trips to Nara and either Osaka or Kobe)
8 Nov: Back to tokyo, night flight out from Narita
A few questions:
1. Would you recommend Lake Kawayguchi or Hakone for more convenient transfer to Kyoto? It is our first time in Japan and we do not speak or read any japanese.
Also, if I buy a train ticket for Tokyo to Kyoto, are there any routes or tickets that allow a free stopover at any Fuji area? We do not need to be at Mount fuji itself, anywhere that offers a view would be good enough!
2. Would you recommend getting the JR Pass?
3. Are 2 way tickets on the Shinkansen cheaper or is it the same as buying 2 X 1 way tickets?
4. Would you recommend any passes to buy in Tokyo? We intend to take the Narita Express two way ticket into and out of Tokyo. It is our first time in Tokyo so we intend to cover most of the typical attractions, including Tsujiki Market but will not be going to Disneysea/land.
Thank you very much for your time and help!
Hi R. Kan,
I recommend you to use 7 days JR pass for the last 7 days of your trip. So you will start to use the pass when you are in Tokyo. Many places can be accessed by JR train (=JR pass). Subway is not covered by JR Pass. So you may need to add single fare for subway in some cases. Please see the coverage in Tokyo by JR Pass at the link below:
https://jprail.com/travel-informations/tips-for-japan-rail-pass/best-way-efficient-how-much-can-we-use-japan-rail-pass-in-downtown-tokyo.html
You can take Narita Express when you go back to Narita by JR Pass. But you need to get other way to get Shinjuku. You have two choices, single fare for Narita Express or limousine bus. Limousine bus may take you to your hotel directly or somewhere near your hotel. Shinjuku is huge area. Some hotels in Shijuku is not very closed to Shinjuku station.
https://jprail.com/sample-itineraries/airport-access/narita/the-list-of-deals-for-access-to-downtown-tokyo-from-narita-airport.html
I recommend you to Hakone more than Lake Kawaguchi. Because it’s more accessible. Hakone can be accessed from Odawara. You can take Shinkansen to get Odawara by JR pass. Please find more info at the link below:

hi takeshi,
m trying hard to understand what is already black and white but it seems that m still having a hard time (i think its because m afraid to get lost). anyway just few questions:
1. where in tokyo can i take the train going to otsuki? and is there a train going straight to kawaguchiko?
2. i read that train ride from tokyo can be reserved seats. can you share me the link, or we can do reservations upon buying of tickets?
3. I’m really confused with all the train stations and name, can you share me the link for train schedule coming from tokyo? i saw so much links but I’m not sure which one is right.
please update me soon. we are arriving japan on sept 6. thank you
Hi Maria,
1. It’s Shinjuku. There are a few trains that go straight to Kawaguchiko. You can find the info about this train at the link below:
https://jprail.com/travel-informations/seasonal-trains-schedule/schedule-of-2015-summer-seasonal-trains-of-japan-railways.html#Rapid_Holiday_Kaisoku_Fujisan
If you cannot take this, you need to transfer at Otsuki. The following links may help you.

2. You can book it upon arrival when you purchase a ticket. Reservation window is called “Midori no Madoguchi”. You can find it at most of JR stations.
https://jprail.com/travel-informations/basic-informations/timetable-and-reservation/how-to-reserve-seat.html
3. There are some trains timetable available at the link below:
http://www.eki-net.com/pc/jreast-shinkansen-reservation/english/wb/common/timetable/index.html
Otherwise you have to use Hyperdia. One of my post shows you how to use this site:

Cheers,
Takeshi / JPRail.com
thank you very much. your reply is spot on very helpful. i have last questions. we were thinking to take osaka instead going to mt. fuji.
1. is there such thing as a JR train pass that goes all the way to 5th station of mt. fuji coming from osaka or kyoto?
2. if none, can you share how much will it cost us to take the JR train all the way to 5th station and then going down taking the train to tokyo for our flight.
thank you very much takeshi.
Hi Maria,
If you use this pass, you have to go back to Shinjuku anyway. But it’s not the shortest route. Please see the link below to get more info about Fuji.
https://jprail.com/destinations/chubu-area/fuji-hakone-access-guide-by-train-and-bus-from-both-tokyo-and-osaka-kyoto-nagoya.html
The best route to get Lake Kawaguchi from Osaka is Mishima-Gotemba-Kawaguchiko route.
Cheers,
Takeshi / JPRail.com
thank you takeshi. can you help me decide which is the best access to mt. fuji.
1. i found an airfare ticket from kansai to narita for 5100yen + 5600yen for 2 day pass mt. fuji from tokyo.
will it be more economical to take this?
2. from Osaka – Mishima-Gotemba-Kawaguchiko route + 5th station and then going down back to tokyo for our flight. how much will it cost?
3. i was reading your article regarding kansai pass, i didn’t understand the first part coming from kansai airport to osaka proper (i don’t know yet where we are staying in osaka but planning to stay for 3 nights here and will be doing day trips to kyoto, narra and himenji). we should buy this pass or you can recommend something else?
thank you very much takeshi.
Hi Maria,
I would like to see the whole part of your trip plan. I need to know the following:
1. Where are you going to arrive and depart? (which airport)
2. Where are you going to stay?
I cannot tell you the best deal without these information. If you take budget flight, you will need to think about bus or railway to get airport. You will spend more on top of 5100 yen. I cannot say this is most affordable choice or not at this point.
Cheers,
Takeshi / JPRail.com
hi takeshi,
1. we are arriving at osaka on sept 6th and leaving japan by tokyo on sept 14th. we are planning to stay at osaka until the 9th or 10th. we were planning to stay on kyoto during our kansai trip but i read from other readers that its much better to stay in osaka as our base then just do day trips outside of it. they said osaka is alive at night, a lot of things to do. here is my plan:
a. sept 7th kyoto
b. sept 8th narra
c. sept 9th himeji castle (then go to tokyo after lunch – is this possible)
2. we are still deciding which place to stay at osaka, can you recommend where train is accessible, nightlife is good with lots of restaurants?
thank you
Hi Maria,
Now I got whole picture.
You can use JR pass 7 days for the last 7 days for your trip. (from trip to Nara on 8th to the end)
https://jprail.com/travel-informations/other-rail-passes/rail-pass-for-visitors/japan-rail-pass-user-guide-how-to-use-jr-pass-to-its-maximum.html
JR Pass covers to trip to Nara by JR train.
https://jprail.com/destinations/kansai-area/how-to-access-to-nara-by-japan-rail-pass-if-you-dont-use-jr-pass-kintetsu-railway-is-more-convenient.html
You can take Shinkansen to get Himeji and transfer to Tokyo by Shinkansen.
https://jprail.com/destinations/kansai-area/how-to-access-to-himeji-and-kobe-from-osaka.html
https://jprail.com/trains/sort-by-departure-arrival-stations/stations-in-tokai/nagoya-toyohashi/what-is-shinkansen-bullet-train.html
timetable of Shinkansen
http://english.jr-central.co.jp/info/timetable/_pdf/westbound.pdf
http://english.jr-central.co.jp/info/timetable/_pdf/westbound.pdf
*JR pass does not cover Nozomi and Mizuho, so pick up Hikari (shown by “H”) or Sakura (“S”).
Forget about domestic flight from KIX to Narita. Flight fare is cheap but you need to think about the transportation to KIX and from Narita. In total, this is not cheaper than JR pass.
For arrival day and trip to Kyoto, you can pick up other deals. But you cannot decide because you have not decide where you stay in Osaka.
Namba is one of downtown core of Osaka and very close to Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi. But I’ve heard it’s very hard to book hotel in Osaka in these days. Anyway, you can find some info about deals to get Osaka from KIX at the link below:
https://jprail.com/sample-itineraries/airport-access/kansai-kix/how-to-choose-the-deals-for-access-tofrom-kansai-airport.html
We cannot fix for trip to Kyoto before choose the hotel in Osaka. But it’s not a big deal at this point.
next forget about Fuji round trip ticket. You can use JR pass to get Otsuki from Tokyo. Otsuki is the gateway to Lake Kawaguchi. You can do day trip to Fuji from Tokyo if you like. Forget about Mishima route. It’s more complicated than this route.
At last you can take Narita Express to get Narita on last day by JR pass.
Cheers,
Takeshi / JPRail.com
hi takeshi.
we are decided to stay at namba area(il coure hotel) of osaka for 2 nights. we just want to see the night life.
also, as you said JR pass is more useful and economical for our trip.
1. can you help me finalize our itinerary by indicating if its JRpass possible?
2. and during our kansai trip, should we still buy a kansai pass or jr pass is already okay until we leave for tokyo.
3. just to clarify, you said it’s much better to go to tokyo first before going to mt. fuji. we are open to stay for a night at mt. fuji since we are planning to climb the peak ( is there a pass that is almost the same as mt. fuji 2 day pass because i read from one of your topic that its 2000yen just to take this bus going to 5th station, one way. -too expensive ).
4. also i read that trains going back to shibuya is only until 3pm from mt. fuji? is there other options in case we don’t catch it.
sept 6 arrival osaka, stay at namba
sept 7 day trip to nara, last night at namba
sept 8 kyoto (will be staying for the night here)
sept 9 himedi – mt.fuji or tokyo (depending on your advice) in the afternoon. (is it possible to bring luggage in himedi to see the castle)?
sept 10 mt. fuji (we will stay for the night if there is no train back to tokyo late afternoon)
sept 11 – 14 tokyo
*please change our plans if necessary. Also, i am really sorry if i am asking too much questions. thank you for being very nice and still helping me out with this.
hi takeshi,
i will follow your recommendation to take the jr pass and will take shinkansen from kyoto to mishima-gotemba-kawaguchiko. i was trying to understand the schedule of the train but cannot comprehend it. can you dictate instead what time is the hikari shinkansen leaving from kyoto and stopping to mishima (i read that not all trains stop at mishima).
thank you
Hi Maria,
I reply to this and another inquiry here.
You can use Nankai railways deal to get Namba. Kanku Tokuwari Rapi:t ticket is recommended.
https://jprail.com/sample-itineraries/airport-access/kansai-kix/how-to-choose-the-deals-for-access-tofrom-kansai-airport.html#Kanku_Tokuwari_Rapit_Ticket_Kanku-Webtoku_Ticket
Single ticket is okay for trip to Nara. You can take Kintetsu railway from Namba.
https://jprail.com/destinations/kansai-area/how-to-access-to-nara-by-japan-rail-pass-if-you-dont-use-jr-pass-kintetsu-railway-is-more-convenient.html
Then, you can start to use JR pass. You cannot exchange JR pass at JR-Namba station. But you can exchange JR pass at Kansai airport station in advance.
https://jprail.com/sample-itineraries/airport-access/kansai-kix/kansai-airport-transportation-guide-find-info-about-station-ticket-airport-bus-and-high-speed-ferry.html
You can get Kyoto by JR train.
https://jprail.com/travel-informations/tips-for-japan-rail-pass/how-to-transfer-among-kyoto-osaka-and-kobe-compare-japan-railway-and-private-lines.html
https://jprail.com/destinations/kansai-area/guide-to-take-trains-in-osaka-how-to-choose-the-best-route-by-train-to-get-the-major-spots.html
https://jprail.com/destinations/kansai-area/guide-to-take-trains-in-kyoto-how-to-choose-the-best-route-by-train-to-get-the-major-spots.html
Regarding Hikari that stops at Mishima, let’s see the timetable again.
http://english.jr-central.co.jp/info/timetable/_pdf/eastbound.pdf
Can you find Hikari 510 that departs from Shin-Osaka at 07:26. That train arrives Mishima at 9:56. There are some more Hiakri that stops at Mishima. I think you can find other one by yourself now.
But I still recommend you to go to Tokyo first. Because you can leave your luggage at Shinjuku or Tokyo. You can leave most of your luggage in Tokyo and make one night trip with small luggage. Of course the choice is yours. You can go straight to Fuji from Mishima. But you have to move with all of your luggage by Shinkansen and bus. It may be uncomfortable. It’s same thing for trip to Himeji. I don’t recommend to bring your luggage to Himeji. You should leave your luggage at the station. You can leave it at Kyoto station and pick up later on the way to Mishima (or Tokyo).
Mt Fuji Round Trip Ticket is very good deal. But as long as you use JR pass, you don’t need to use this even though you have to pay extra to take a train from Otsuki to Kawaguchiko and bus to 5th station. If you focus on just trip to Fuji, this is a good deal. But you have to see whole part of your trip. If you use this deal, you have to give up JR pass and pay single fare for Shinkansen or take the flight with trains/bus trip to airport. This may be slightly cheaper but it’s a big job to combine many kinds of deal and purchase single ticket one by one.
At last, there are many trains to go back to Shinjuku from Kawaguchiko. If you are okay with transfer the trains at Otsuki, trains runs until around 20:30.
There are many choices for your trip. If you are really sensitive with cost, I think JR Pass is not most affordable choice. But JR Pass is most useful choice in my opinion.
Cheers,
Takeshi / JPRail.com
Hi Takeshi,
here is our final itinerary, leaving tomorrow and bought our JR pass yesterday.
sept 6- osaka
sept 7- nara
sept 8- kyoto (start of JR PASS)
sept 9- himeji in the morning, after lunch tokyo (shiodome area)
sept 10- tokyo
sept 11- mt. fuji
sept 12-mt. fuji
sept 13-mt. fuji
sept 14- mt. fuji to narita
questions:
1. how can we get to shiodome, after our kyoto to tokyo train. where do we do transfer.
2. i read that there is shinjuku directly to kawaguchiko (tho we have to pay the fee from otsuki to kawaguchiko) on a weekend. what is the schedule on a friday, i just saw a morning schedule maybe afternoon is also available.
3. how do we travel from kawaguchiko to narita airport using jr pass.
thank you very much. this would be my last inquiry (hopefully!)
Hi Takeshi,
Does the Mt. Fuji round trip ticket covers for lines to go to Haneda Airport? Or do I need to travel to Tokyo before buying a new ticket to the airport?
Thanks very much!
Hi Jia,
No, it doesn’t. You have to get either Hamamatucho (to get Monorail) or Shinagawa (to get Keihin Kyuko).
https://jprail.com/travel-informations/tips-for-japan-rail-pass/how-to-access-from-haneda-airport-to-downtown-tokyo.html
Both Monorail and Keihin Kyuko are not covered by this pass.
Cheers,
Takeshi / JP Rail
Hi Takeshi
Regarding the “Mount Fuji Round Trip Ticket”, read that is available for “unlimited rides on the bus between Kawaguchiko Station and the Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station”. To clarify, does this also apply to the retro bus and Fujikko Bus?
Thanks you.
Hi Joon,
Yes. You can take Fuji Climbing Bus to 5th station as many as you want. But Retro bus and Fujikko bus are not covered.
Cheers,
Takeshi / JP Rail
Hi Takeshi,
We have only 2 days in Tokyo.
We would like to explore Mt Fuji on the first day and travel within Tokyo (including Roppongi) on the second day.
Is it worth getting the Mt Fuji round trip pass?
What pass should we get on the second day to explore within Tokyo?
Does the Tokunai pass cover Roppongi?
Thanks.
Hi John,
Mt Fuji round trip ticket (5600 yen) is a good choice. But if you visit Lake Kawaguchi and surrounding area, highway bus may be better. One way fare is 1700 yen from Shinjuku.
http://transportation.fujikyu.co.jp/english/gettinghere/01.html
But if you go to 5th station, round trip ticket is better.
Subway pass is better than Tokunai pass. You can get anywhere in Tokyo.

Hi Takeshi.
we will be visiting japan from Dec. 24 to Jan. 3. party of 5. I will arriving at Narita Airport and we will be staying at Otsuki Yamanashi. How do I get there from the airport?
We are planning to see as much as we can. Which train pass will you suggest for us for optimal use during our 11 days visit?
Thank you very much.
Hi Theresa,
You can take Narita Express from Narita to Shinjuku.
https://jprail.com/trains/sort-by-type/limited-express/narita-express.html
And then take Limited Express Azusa or Kaiji from Shinjuku to Otsuki.
https://jprail.com/trains/limited-express-azusa-super-azusa-and-kaiji.html
You can get timetable at Hyperdia or JR East website:

http://www.eki-net.com/pc/jreast-shinkansen-reservation/english/wb/common/timetable/index.html
JR pass covers all part of Japan except Okinawa. If you intend to visit all places in Japan, JR Pass is highly recommended.

Hi Takeshi,
Sorry, I only found this after I posting my question earlier (in diff thread).
So it’s mean, Narita Express only run in summer?
Can I take Narita Express at Shinjuku?
Thx.
Hi Lisa,
The season has been extended. Narita Express goes to Kawaguchiko on weekend and holidays until November 30. As long as you take the train on JR lines, JR Pass covers it. But the pass does not cover any trains on other company’s line.
Cheers,
Takeshi / JP Rail
