Thank you in advance for your reply
Hi Tan,
All trips are covered by San’in Okayama area pass.
The bus service is covered by Takayama Hokuriku Area Tourist Pass. You must book a seat on bus in advance since a reservation is required to get on this bus. Unfortunately you cannot book a seat online. You have to make a call:

Hi, Mr. Takeshi
From the ” List of rail passes “, you have missed out the Hokuriku Area Pass”.
Hope that you can make a user guide for this pass.
Thank You.
Hi Ng Wai Kuen,
That’s right. Actually, there are many other paths that I haven’t explained yet. I would like to introduce other passes little by little.

I am planning a trip to Japan for 4 adults, two on limited budget. We will have a JR rail passes but I would like to plan a trip from Osaka to Amanohashidate in northern Kyoto Prefecture, I know the JR pass doesn’t cover the entire trip and am torn between purchase of an additional pass or figuring out what the extra fees are. Then I am not sure how to pay the additional ticket fees for the part that is not covered by JR pass. Do we have to exit and change trains?
Nervous about such a long trip, We would then need to get BACK to Osaka. We should be in Osaka 3 days.
Hi Susan,
You will take the limited express Konotori from Osaka to Fukuchiyama. How you change trains depends on the train you take from Fukuchiyama Station. If you take the limited express Hashidate, you can change trains at same platform. In this case, you can pay additional fare in the train or when you exit at Amanohashidate station.
If you take the Kyoto Tango Railway train from Fukuchiyama, you have to go through Kyoto Tango Railway ticket gate.
I have done this transfer in last February. I made a video in my Youtube channel, so please find it in this video. I think it is much easier to understand how you do this.
