This post is continued from the previous post, Trip to Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea in 2015 spring, Part 2. Visiting Tokyo Disneyland with small child.

I spent 2 days for Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. In this post, I would like to tell you about my second day at Tokyo DisneySea. I have already explained about ticket and planning at the previous post. I will talk about my experience in Tokyo DisneySea only.

My plan

It was cold in the morning but weather was gorgeous.
It was cold in the morning but weather was gorgeous.

It was the first time to visit Tokyo DisneySea for me. I have not visited Tokyo Disney Resort in last 20 years. In 20 years ago, DisneySea was not opened yet. I needed to learn DisneySea and check the official website. I also show many movies of DisneySea’s attraction to my daughter. I made the following plan.

08:30 Gate open
Straight to “Toy Story Mania!”
We will decide to take FASTPASS or wait as stand by on the spot.
Enter “Turtle Talk” and ride “Aquatopia”

10:55 Show “Mystic Rhythms
Lunch and shopping

12:15 Show “A Table is Waiting
Enter Mermaid Lagoon

16:40 Leave DisneySea

17:00 Take bus to Haneda airport from hotel

My daughter put the following attractions on her wish list.

Toy Story Mania!
Ariel’s Playground
Jumpin’ Jellyfish
Scuttle’s Scooters
Turtle Talk
Aquatopia
Caravan Carousel
Jasmine’s Flying Carpets

We needed to take the flight from Haneda at 19:20. We did not have a plenty of time. We supposed to focus on the attractions. Because Tokyo DisneySea does not have any parades.

What I did and what I didn’t

We took this train set in this morning.
We took this train set in this morning.
It was Anna and Elsa Frozen Fantasy train. We skipped two trains to wait for this train set.
It was Anna and Elsa Frozen Fantasy train. We skipped two trains to wait for this train set.

My plan is much rougher than plan for Disneyland. But I needed to make lots of changes after I entered because it was very very crowded.

The following is my actual timeline in Tokyo DisneySea.

07:45 Left hotel
We did not eat any breakfast hotel. And we did not prepare anything to eat.

08:10 Entered Tokyo DisneySea
It supposed to open at 08:30, but it was very busy and the gate was opened 30 minutes earlier at 08:00.
I knew this change. But we were very tired. We could not start earlier.

We went straight to “Toy Story Mania!”. But it was already 180 minutes waiting for stand by. I tried to get FASTPASS. But the line up was long. I could not find the end of the line. We gave up!
We grabbed some food and drink because we did not eat breakfast. I got a cup of beer in the morning. We were so lazy.

After morning snack, we rode the following attractions:
“DisneySea Transit Steamer Line” No waiting time
“Aquatopia” 1 hours waiting

When we passed FASTPASS station of “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea”, there was no line up. I had no plan to use FASTPASS for any other rides. I got this FASTPASS.

11:15 Lunch at Zambini Brothers’ Ristorante

After lunch, we entered the following attractions:

“20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” by FASTPASS, 5 minutes waiting
“Ariel’s Playground” Free entry
“Scuttle’s Scooters” 40 minutes waiting
“Ariel’s Greeting Grotto” 1 hour waiting

16:30 Left the park

Very busy in weekend!

My daughter was crazy about Ariels Playground.
My daughter was crazy about Ariels Playground.

According to the forecast, it was average rate, “C”. But it was very very busy. It was rated “A” that was the second highest rate actually.
*Please refer the previous post about how to read forecast. Tokyo DisneySea had admission limit in the afternoon. Ticket was stopped selling at that time. Later I found actual rate and understood why it was 180 minutes waiting for “Toy Story Mania!”. We should have been at the gate before open.

Late February is not a high season. But I think there were two reasons whey it was so busy. First, Tokyo Disneyland held “Anna ant Elsa Frozen Fantasy”. Disney mega hit movie “Frozen” was so popular in Japan too. This special event attracted many visitors. Therefore many visitors avoided to visit Disneyland and came to DisneySea on purpose.

Second, there were many high school students and college students visitors. In Japan, March is graduation season. Many of students have anniversary trip before graduation with friends. I went to Kyushu with friends before I graduated from university.

And also the weather was good. This maybe the biggest reason why it was busy.

Even if the forecast says slow, it may be busier than expectation. Move early and you get more!

Which attraction my daughter loved and which one she hated

Just for your information which one 6 year old girl likes.

Great!!!
Ariel’s Playground
Ariel’s Greeting Grotto
Aquatopia

Good
DisneySea Transit Steamer Line
Scuttle’s Scooters

Very bad
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

Most of girls love Princess world. Ariel’s Mermaid Lagoon was her most favorite place. Especially “Ariel’s Playground” is not special. Anyone can enter there anytime. But if I did not stop, my daughter could spend whole day there. By the way, this playground is located at covered underground and it is very dark. Actually this was a perfect place to take a nap. When my wife took care of my daughter, I could not open my eyes. When I looked around, there were many parents had a nap! LOL

Ariel’s Greeting Grotto was of course my daughter’s favorite place too.

Aquatopia moved tricky but attractive.
Aquatopia moved tricky but attractive.

My daughter loved Acuatopia too. She said she wanted to ride one more time even if she had to wait for another one hour.

My daughter enjoyed ride of Transit Steamer Line. It was the first time to visit there. This cruise could show us most part of DisneySea. It helped me to understand the location in this park. This boat cruise can be taken at many places.

She hated “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” because of dark and noisy. She was scared and almost cried.

Food and dining

We did not eat breakfast, so we started to eat lunch very early. But it was a good decision. When we finished lunch around noon, there was huge line up. Waiting time was one hour to buy pasta or piece of pizza! I strongly believe we should start to eat earlier. Otherwise you will waste your valuable time in the park.

I really wanted to try Tokyo DisneySea favorite “Gyoza Dog”.

Gyoza Dog is not like hot dog. It looks like a long pork bun.
Gyoza Dog is not like hot dog. It looks like a long pork bun.

When we waited for “Ariel’s Greeting Grotto”, I went to Gyoza Dog stand to buy it. But I spent 30 minuted to get just 2 pieces of Gyoza Dog!

We have to accept “Wait” in Tokyo Disney Resort.

I cannot explain about many more things of Tokyo DisneySea. But I did not spend whole day there and I did not watch any shows. I used FASTPASS but it was not that we wanted to ride.

That is all I talk about DisneySea but if this post help you to build your plan to visit Disneyland and DisneySea in Tokyo, I am very happy.
